Decimal hours to minutes chart
Pay stubs and payroll systems often show time as decimal hours, like 7.37. Find the decimal part in the chart to get the minutes: 0.37 hours is 22.2 minutes, so 7.37 hours is about 7:22.
Minutes = decimal hours × 60, and every hundredth of an hour is 0.6 minutes (36 seconds). The h:mm column rounds to the nearest minute, the same way the Punchwise app and the time card calculator do. For the other direction, use the minutes to decimal hours chart.

How to read decimal hours
Keep the whole hours and look up the decimal part. A pay stub that shows 38.45 hours means 38 hours and 0.45 × 60 = 27 minutes, 38:27.
Why a separate chart: the minutes chart rounds to 2 decimals, so 21 minutes is 0.35 and 22 minutes is 0.37. A decimal like 0.36 hours (21.6 minutes) is in neither row; this chart starts from the decimal, so every value from 0.01 to 0.99 has its own row.
Tenths: time clocks that count in tenths of an hour use steps of 6 minutes: 0.1 = 6, 0.5 = 30 and 0.9 = 54 minutes. The quarter hours in bold are 0.25 = 15, 0.50 = 30 and 0.75 = 45 minutes.
