Time card and hours tracker for hourly workers

Punchwise is an Android app for keeping your own record of the hours you work. Clock in and out with one tap, see each week’s time card with regular and overtime hours, estimate your pay before taxes, and share a PDF or CSV timesheet. It works offline and needs no account: your hours stay on your phone.
Try the punch clock below. In the browser nothing is saved once you leave the page; the Android app keeps your hours.

What Punchwise does

Punch clock: Clock in, Start break, End break, Clock out. Each tap saves the time on your phone, so the app doesn’t need to stay open. A home-screen widget lets you punch without opening the app, and an optional notification shows when you clocked in.
Weekly time card: each day’s hours in hours and minutes and in decimal hours, split into regular, overtime and double time under the overtime rule you pick, with estimated gross pay. Add or fix a shift by typing the times, with an unpaid break and a note.
Several jobs, each with its own hourly rate, pay period (weekly, every two weeks, twice a month or monthly), overtime rule and automatic unpaid lunch. Holiday, PTO and sick hours, tips, mileage and expenses can go on the time card too.
Pay period totals and “Check my paycheck”: type the hours and gross pay from your pay stub and see whether they match your own record.
A PDF timesheet with signature lines and a CSV for Excel or Google Sheets, free, shared from your phone. Back up everything to one file you keep yourself.

Frequently asked questions

Does Punchwise need internet or an account?

No. There is no sign-in and no server: your shifts, jobs and rates are saved only on your phone and are never sent to us. To keep a copy, save a backup file from Settings; Android’s own device backup can include it too.

How does Punchwise count overtime?

With the rule you choose for each job: no overtime; the federal rule (FLSA), hours over 40 in the workweek at 1.5×; California, over 8 hours in a day at 1.5×, over 12 at 2×, over 40 in the week and the seventh day in a row; or your own thresholds and multipliers. Every result shows the rule and the law it comes from. It is an estimate, not payroll or legal advice: your employer’s workweek and your state’s law decide what you are owed.

Can I print or export my time card?

Yes, for free. Share a PDF timesheet with signature lines, or a CSV file that opens in Excel or Google Sheets, through your phone’s share sheet (email, Drive, print and so on).

Can I track hours for more than one job?

Yes. Add as many jobs as you need, each with its own hourly rate, pay period and overtime rule, and pick the job on the main screen before you clock in.

What if I forget to clock out?

Tap the shift and fix the time; every punch can be edited afterward. Punchwise can also remind you that you are still clocked in after 8, 10 or 12 hours (Settings).

Is Punchwise in Spanish?

Yes. The app is in English and Spanish and follows your phone’s language; you can also pick the language in Settings.
